When concentrating on education they also really need to focus on those rural areas that dont have it available to its kids. Primarily because these kids are forced to work instead of attending schools in order to help their families out. This is where I started to notice the big tie between all of the MDG's and how they all really tie back to the rural areas, where most of the programs are rooted. I feel like being able to fund education for these kids would really cause a big change in the overall education level of Brazil.

In order to accomplish this goal I believe that Brazil really needs to focus on not only its major cities but most of all its rural areas. It really needs to set aside some time to touch base with a lot of the people of these areas. Most of them living in horrible living conditions. They also really need to focus on offering help to all those people who actually need it. Funding programs to help them get off their feet to better themselves and their communities.

This is actually the goal that I believe Brazil is doing it's best at. Not only is their president a women but they also are one of the few countries that allow civil unions between the same sex. This goes to show one of the great strengths of Brazil. Both of these showing that Brazil does have things that will allow them to push forward and really stay by the side of the leading countries.Even though this is the case though I do think that it could create more programs and organizations in order to help those women living in poverty because women are the gender that suffer the most from this. Most of them living in favelas and having to work long hours for low pay along with having to raise their children.

This goal to me seems to be another one of those more stable goals in where Brazil is really coming forward in order to take control and prevent the child mortality from rising, It seems to me like this goal along with gender equality are both reachable by 2015.

Maternal health also ties with empowering women and preventing poverty. I feel like both of these tie back to this one because women are the gender that suffer the most from poverty. This is shown to be an effect to their husbands moving to those bigger cities to make more money but really just leaving them behind to raise their kids on their own. I feel like also focusing on their health should be a concern being that they live in poverty and sometimes can't afford to receive the needed treatment.

This is a goal that Brazil was doing a great job in the past with. They really went above and beyond to raise awareness to the epidemic. Not only were they one of the few countries to offer the needed treatment for free but they really raised awareness. They had different campaigns going on to really get their citizens on board with the prevention. However all this was in the 90's and ever since they kind of fell off with the help they offer those who have HIV or Aids. A step that they really need to take is go back to their old ways in order to go back to one of the top countries who focused on the prevention of HIV and Aids.

This goal I feel like overall every country is going through the same things. A lot of countries are fighting to stay on top that they don't really focus on the long term effects that this can cause the environment. They dont really think about the amount of damage that they are doing to their natural resources. Brazil being one of those countries. They are really trying to stay by the side of those other countries that they really aren't focusing on taking care of all the land they have and all of the agricultural advances they can make if they protect it.

Building global partnerships I believe is one of those things where Brazil really needs to step up. Even though they are a lot of the times compared to the US when it comes to the level that they hold in Latin America, I feel like Brazil could really start working towards making ties not only with the US but with other countries. This would allows them to trade a lot more of the things that Brazil can produce.
